Thank you to everyone that participated in our holiday promotion by nominating a family for financial assistance. We would also like to thank WALK FM, who generously promoted this idea free of charge and understood the initial community outreach concept of what we were trying to acheive. Each dollar they saved us in promoting this program was given to a family.
Each year, we struggle to select the perfect gift to acknowledge the business that our referring physicians send to us and express our appreciation for trusting us with their patient's care. We recognize that is our relationship with our referring physicians, their staff and patients that keep our business thriving year after year and allows us to continue to provide quality healthcare.
Quite simply, there is nothing we can purchase or gift that equates to the value of our relationships. As we all see and read on a daily basis, we know that millions of Americans do not have health insurance and the recent economic downturn is continuing to provide financial pressures for many families.
So this year, in an effort to pay it forward, we decided to choose four families that have faced difficult economic times and give each the dollars that have been spent on physician, staff and gift programs in the past years. This decision was difficult, but we trusted that our referring physicians would understand and partner with us in our endeavor to distinguish
ourselves among a sea of well meaning gift baskets and cookie trays.
We choose four families with common denominators. All of them had pressures based on long term illness, they had lost or were in the process of losing homes and finally they had children that were full of expectations that come with the joy of the holiday season. Most of them cried when we called them and told them they had been selected. As of December 15th, each family has been given a check from either BAB Radiology- Huntington, Hauppauge, Shirley or Bay Shore. We were very pleased to create and execute this program and are proud of our efforts. Thank you to all the referring physicians and their staff members that encouraged us to continue this program.
The physicians on Long Island are dedicated to their profession with sincere integrity.
